TENNIS ELBOW - Aka Lateral Epicondylitis

Tennis Elbow is most common as a result strain of the Extensor Carpi Radialis Brevis, this is a muscle that runs from the side forearm out to the back of the hand. It is a muscle extends the wrist backward.

Diagnosis of tennis elbow is relative straight forward for a chiropractor, who will normally take a thorough case history and perform a number of orthopaedic and neurological tests to confirm.

Treatment of the area is also straight forward, but fixing the problem is one thing. At Chiropractic First we are keen to fix the problem, but also to make sure that it doesn't come back, so it may take some detective work to find out what caused it in the first place or you may need to look at the way you do certain activities to prevent this problem from starting all over again.
